Autumn
Dear Dungarees,
Autumn has arrived on the farm in its Sunday best. Dressed to the nines in burning flames it shows off its heady splendor as if it were normal to dazzle people breathless. The daylight is bright and crisp, the half-light is haunting and darkness falls so early welcoming the gathering of family and friends indoors earlier. Im not sure I’ve ever loved an Autumn more. Warm fires and steaming beverages draw cold hands inside, while the heady perfume of wood smoke, damp earth, and fallen leaves lingers in the air. Oh, how I love the comfort and rest Autumn invites.
